* THIS COURSE DOES NOT MEET THE KY STATE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE KYCCDW

* YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE YOUR CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT TO ATTEND THIS COURSE.

This course is designed to teach you the skills needed to actually use your LEGAL concealed weapon and employ it in Defense of yourself or loved ones. You will learn close quarters handgun techniques that will be needed on the streets or in your home when a threat commits to doing you or your loved ones harm!

The Advanced Concealed Carry Course will contain:

 *Gear Considerations- Concealed Carry, Holster Positioning, Flashlight and Laser Configurations, Firearms Considerations, Caliber Characteristics, Bullet Types

  *Drawing from Concealment- Clearing the holster, Directional Draws, Satchel/Purse Draws, Concealment Draws   

  *Defensive Presentation- Strong Hand Offense, Strong Hand Defense, Two Hand Strong Offense, Two Hand Strong Defense, Weak Hand Offense, Weak Hand Defense

 *Defensive Firing- Controlled Pairs, Multiple Targets, Distance Directives, Target Effect

 *Defensive Movement- Evade, Advance, Cover, Clearing

 *Defensive Target Engagement- Threat Identification, Threat Priority, Shot Placement, Flashlight/Laser Usage

 *Defensive Reloading-Stress Load, Round Count, Magazine Manipulation.

  • For each of our Courses( Except Introduction to Handgun/Tactical Rifle), it is recommended that you have the following equipment:
  • Handgun( We can provide one for your use)
  • Holster ( We can provide one for your use)
  • 3 Magazines ( We can provide them for use)
  • 2 Magazine Pouches( 1 Double Magazine Pouch is sufficient) ( We can provide for use)
  • 150 Rounds of Ammunition
  • Equipment and Ammunition is available for purchase on site @ the Gun Warehouse   and Range

Great syllabus for the next step of self-defense. I especially like the emphasis of the use of a deadly weapon as a last resort but when necessary, presenting the skills to use it effectively.

This class is a must for those who are considering carrying a firearm at anytime or plan to use one in their homes for self-defense and already have the basic safety aspect covered. I have had pistols for many years and never had it occured to me that there were so many things that I needed to work on in order to use my firearm in a safe effective way. Instructure was top-notch and will definately recommend this class to others. Only downside to the entire ordeal was the range was cold and sent me looking for clothes in the car. I'm already planning on scheduling my next class.
2012-08-27 Vikki P... This is the BEST course for those who are considering carrying or already have their license to carry. The course was informative and well-structured. I learned safety and better handling of my weapon. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to better their handling of a weapon and gaining the confidence needed to protect yourself in most any situation!!!
2012-04-25 Kenneth G... I took this class in April 2012 and found it to be exactly what I was looking for. Let's face it, unless you have access to private property where you can practice things like drawing from a holster, you're just not going to be able to do it at most ranges. In this class, under the watchful eyes of several instructors, you can practice that and more after they explain and demonstrate the proper way to do it. In addition, this class will get you thinking along the lines of perfecting your concealed carry system. There is nothing like actual experience to point out areas in your system that need additional consideration or improvement. Great class and well worth the price of admission.
2012-04-25 James D... This class is a must for anyone with a CCDW. It is very informative and covers the subject of concealed carry very well. The class was very well structured with an objective of making sure each student obtained a skill set necessary for a better trained more knowledgeable CCDW holder. I highly recommend this class with Velocity Training Group.

The instructor’s easygoing delivery made learning easy and enjoyable. This easygoing manner, however, in no way compromised the strict adherence to all safety procedures.
Overall I found the course very useful and I look forward to taking further training classes.
2012-04-23 Cheryl S... Very informative. Trainers helped to correct poor hand positioning and through repetitive procedures, improved comfort level in handling a weapon in a variety of scenarios. Range was on the cold side. I would highly recommend this course and already have to many others.
2012-04-23 Joseph E... I found this class very valuable. I learned a skill set that I can now practice and refine, which provides me with confidence if I do carry. If you plan on concealing I would recommend taking this course.
