   Class Time: 6:00 to *9:00 pm
*Depending on the amount of questions or understanding of the concepts, this class may run longer. If the course does run long, we will make accommodations for you to complete the course or portion of the course at a later date.

Our Ladies Night is designed with our female customer in mind. This event is geared towards those of you are are thinking about purchasing a firearm, own a firearm or would just like to come out and have some fun while learning the fundamentals of firearms safety.

This Fun and Exciting 2 1/2 hour course will contain the following focus areas:

1-Safety and Awareness in Todays World

2-Home Security Considerations

3-Basic Firearm Safety

4-Basic Handgun Familiarization

5-Handgun Characteristics and Considerations of use

6-Personal Handgun Review

 

We spend the second half of the course on our climate controlled indoor range actually firing various handguns under the direction of our professional instructors.

 

This is a perfect opportunity to " Try it before you Buy it" by shooting different handguns and feeling the characteristics of each size, caliber and action to help you decide which handgun best fits your needs!

 

Our Professional Staff will provide you guidance, knowledge and assist you in overcoming your fears, developing the right techniques and building your confidence!

2013-04-16 Haven B... The Ladies Night class was awesome!! Tony was a great instructor, and had so much important information about safety and being aware of your surroundings. The best part of the night was watching my mom be able to shoot for the first time in decades!!! After she got over her initial shock, and fear, she really enjoyed herself!! Even though the classroom portion was quite a bit longer than anticipated he kept it interesting..Great class for ladies interested in learning more about personal protection and self defense. Definitely a must for those that are novices and looking to try out different guns before making a purchase. Ladies, if you are considering a handgun purchase and don't know much about them PLEASE take this class. Be informed and make your own decision on what type of gun YOU want, not what your husband thinks you should get. I've been shooting all of my life and own several guns myself and I still took a few things away from this class. Keep up the good work guys. Plan on scheduling private classes to progress thru the handgun classes.

2013-03-08 Stephanie C... Class date: 01/28/13. Great class! Tony is an awesome instructor! The class mostly pertains to and focuses on personal safety and security not just for yourself, but your family and your home. I am from a city of a couple million people with a high crime rate, and I thought I was pretty aware of my surroundings, but Tony discusses even more things you should be aware of, which everyone needs to know. Tony tells some good stories during the class and gives statistics of what is going on in Lexington that we need to be aware of so that we are not victims. This class is definitely helpful. We had 40 some ladies in class – which is a lot. So I thought it would be less chaotic to go back for one-on-one firearm training, which was very helpful, and I highly recommend that as well! Ladies Night was very informative and a lot of fun thanks to Tony!

2013-03-05 Vickie P... Ladies Night was a great offering to introduce hand guns and personal safety to women. I wasn't sure what to expect but Tony kept us all entertained with his personal safety story examples. He was very informative and knowledgeable and gave us opportunities to try many different hand guns. I recently made a hand gun purchase, a Ruger LC9 with laser and I was amazed at the accuracy with the first time using it. I was very pleased with the performance and my decision to make the purchase. I plan to get my conceal carry license and also sign up for additional training classes. The class is a great $25.00 spent. I highly recommend the class and Tony to anyone. I think it should be mandatory that at least one training class should be taken when a person purchases or is looking to purchase a personal protection firearm.
2013-03-05 Christina H... This class is extremely good. However, the stated time frame of 6-9 pm is very inaccurate. We didn't even get to the range until well after 9, and weren't completely done until after 10. I don't think it had to do with the "amount of questions asked." There didn't seem to be too many questions since Tony was just so thorough. I suggest that you modify the times stated above.

I also want to point out that while a basic introduction to fire arms is given in this course, and you do have to opportunity to fire them on the range, this is more of a self-protection class than a gun class. You will learn all about how to keep yourself and your family safe in a variety of situations both at home and out & about. The vast majority of the class was spent on how to keep you & your loved ones safe using awareness, common sense, and your wits, and only a small portion at the end of the class dealt with using guns. So, even if you're not comfortable handling a gun, you can still benefit tremendously from the rest. (But I do recommend staying until the end!)
2013-03-05 Heather V... Tony was a great instructor, and despite our class last night being a tad bit full(I think there was 44 of us), I know my aunt and I had a blast!! The only thing left for me to do, that I want to do anyway, is go back down for a bit more of a one on one and I want to work with two different ones, I just need to remember what models they were. I know it was the Walther and the Glock19(Okay Glock 19 I got, but I tried to look up costs on a Walther and didn't know the model!). I'll admit some of the stuff made me snort and laugh-especially the stories! The home alarms stories with the Kudjo Killer Chihauau were great. I want someone that's light enough I can use, my dad's 41 Mag is too heavy, and protect myself. Plus I haven't shot in a while so it was all very very fun and informative!! I'll be coming back for a little more training with the Walther and the Glock 19!

Will be signing up for some other classes and some one on one instruction. Every woman needs to take this class. I will be sending my daughter and encouraging her to take some friends.
2013-02-11 Nancy M... I agree with Carrie G. regarding the lecture portion, however, it was a FANTASTIC class & Tony is an excellent instructor!! I had never fired a handgun & like another person said, that first shot made me jump! :) (It's loud hearing all those guns firing at once.) The experience was priceless; I tried a few pistols & definitely found the one for me.
Ladies, this is an empowering course - no strings attached. No matter your skill level, you will learn something - give it a go!!
2013-01-16 Carrie G... The class was very informative but wouldn't have been as good had Tony not been the instructor. He is easy to listen to, funny and keeps the class moving smoothly. My only complaint is that the lecture portion was a tad long and the gun awareness and instruction was a bit short. I am going to sign up for future classes with Tony forsure!
2013-01-11 Mary Ann M... Class night 1/07/13. Class was great. Tony is incredible. He explains, tells stories so you can relate, and answers any questions. I have been telling all the girls at work that they should sign up and go, Even if the are scared of guns, the discussions part is very informative. Shooting the guns, at first, scared the crap our of me, but after shooting the first one, I think I could really enjoy it as a hobby, let alone protect myself. I do want to go back again, and I will suggest this class to any and every lady.
2013-01-01 Susan W... After taking this class I realized I am more aware of myself and my surroundings than I thought I was. I liked being able to shoot different weapons and it gave me some other ideas about what I am looking for in a conceal carry weapon. I will probably take some buddy lessons later on and then work on the conceal carry.

2012-12-17 Laura R... This class was awesome! Tony did a great job making us become more aware of our surroundings and be safer out there. Not only is he knowledgeable and experienced but also very entertaining as instructor making the class useful and fun. I will definitely come back to other classes and the range to practice shooting. And this class also really inspired me to attend some kind of self-defense class and generally be better prepared for whatever situations life might throw at us. Thanks so much!
2012-12-04 Lauren P... This class was so great! I've always had a fear of guns but have always wanted to learn about them. This class defiantly help me get over that fear. Also I learned how to identify potentially dangerous situations and what to do. Tony was a great teacher, and kept me interested the whole time. I liked that we all got to try out a variety guns. I will defiantly be coming back in the future.
2012-11-18 Diana N... The class was excellent and our instructor Tony was very imformative, entertaining and supoortive. The class had ladies that had guns and shot before to us novice that some had never held a gun in their hand. I learned so much from the class and have scheduled a private lesson to work to finally purchase my handgun and then move on to other classes. I just hope all the other instructors are as great as Tony. The class is well worth taking no matter what your skills.
2012-10-09 Candie L... Tony is an incredible instructor and does a great job with this event. I went as a way to narrow down which caliber pistol I wanted to carry and shoot but left with a lot of very important personal defense information that anyone from the novice to the expert can appreciate and learn from. I recommend this to all women, from those who shoot to those who have never touched a firearm. I especially appreciated Tony's advice to us, to find a gun WE are comfortable with, not one our hubbys/dads/uncles etc. give us or tell us to shoot. I listened and found my perfect gun, I even came back in the next morning and purchased it. I will definitely be coming back for the other classes. I do have one and ONLY ONE suggestion. It would be great and beneficial to those of us there trying to decide on a gun to mark the brand/model on the table with each gun, maybe a sign or paper printed and taped on the tables (hey-it's more advertisement to sell them, too) b/c I forgot a few I shot since I didn't have the chance to look at them very long and was over between shooters straining to read the model without picking them up. HAD A BLAST THOUGH! Thanks you guys. Hey, in my eyes, every person should have to go through a short class like this before touching a firearm. PERIOD.
2012-10-06 Madison M... This course was fantastic! Up until the ladies night event, I had never shot a hand gun. Going into the course, I was nervous as to what might happen. But Tony, our instructor, did an excellent job of explaining basics and being informative without creating paranoia. The course was very informal, giving time to share stories and experiences between the instructor and participants. Ladies night is well worth the money and experience. I would most definitely recommend it to anyone regardless of ability/knowledge. I'll probably attend again!
2012-09-27 Laura A... The class was great! It was very informative and fun at the same time. Going to the range and trying different guns should be mandatory before actually buying one. I DO have one complaint--this class is NOT 2 hours, or at least ours wasn't. The lecture part alone was 2.5, and then we spent almost another hour in the range. The instructor did offer to let those who needed to leave come back at another time for the range portion. I'm sure some of the information can be whittled down so that everything takes no longer than 2.5 hrs. This class is a great opportunity for women, so I hope this series continues, just make the actual session shorter.

2012-06-26 Kelly C... A great way for ladies to find out about personal safety even if not ready for a gun. An excellent opportunity to shoot different handguns and find out what a person likes or doesn't like in a gun. This session really helped me narrow down which gun I wanted for my first gun purchase!
